So, its all over the news about the recent actions of three NFL players. Two which have had the most notorious fines and penalties to any player in recent memory. If you don’t know who I’m referring to, this article may not be for you to read. But if so, I just want to give my insight on what, and why this league is heading in the wrong direction.
First off, It is not for me to judge these players as MEN, but I will judge them as some of the richest people in the world, that are sometimes forgotten as hero’s and role models, never the less, the fortunate part of society. It is impossible to ignore the amount of money these athletes make, but the most ignored fact is the amount of burden these athletes hold when it comes to the people that support them, model lives after them, and most of all PAY THEM!!!
Its this part of society that is also most scrutinized for every mistake they make, that being hand in hand with politicians. But lets stay away from that for now.
So you may ask yourself daily, how come these people get paid so much, even after they make these foolish mistakes that make their organizations look bad, when I can show up to work late 5 minutes, and be fired that day.???
Well ladies and gentleman, I am here to answer this question…
THE NFL..
Which is the most popular league in all of America, and one of the most growing fads’ when it comes to illegal, and misconduct from its players.
- First Issue- The NFL does nothing major to avoid these situations.
- Second Issue- Roger Goddel Needs to step down, as he has supported the most ridiculous things in NFL history. (let that speak for itself)
- Third Issue- NFL players are tough at nature, but that is no excuse.
- Fourth Issue- The Lockout, both sides make billions in revenue and salaries, but are still complaining, when most of us make less than 50,000 a year. See a problem?
- Fifth Issue- Social Media, and the way it blows everything up, and makes one person look bad, for millions.
- Sixth Issue- The organizations take to much responsibility for league wide issues, while the NFL stand back and just watches until the board members look bad…
- Seventh Issue- Player Restrictions should not only be football wise, but most of all, lifestyle wise.
- Eighth Issue- Forgiving a repetitive offender of league wide policy, to many times. (PACMAN JONES) (JAMES HARRISON) COUGH COUGH!!!
- Ninth Issue- Blame ourselves for cheering on the Villain.
- Tenth issue- “There is No I in team” No morals, standards, or love for the game.
In all I just answered the question… Shall I say more??
May I say, I love sports, but my love for THE NFL, has simply died down in the past decade. With mistake after mistake, I hope that these so called superstars, and world class athletes can work together to tackle this issue, and become better at what they are suppose to do, play football, not play mistakes over and over again.
-This does not go to every player of the NFL, but most of them…
For Roger… PLEASE STOP THE TYRANY…
